It seems like throwing objects from buildings has become somewhat of a trend in Toronto this week.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Toronto Police responded to reports of a "very aggressive man" in the Spadina Avenue and College Street area, who was apparently throwing things from the top of a building.

One officer was apparently assaulted and the extent of their injuries remains unknown. Narcity has reached out to police for more details and we'll update the story when we hear back.

This incident is the fourth this week that involves people throwing objects from buildings in Toronto.

It all began on Sunday at a unit in the ICE condominiums where several people allegedly threw glass bottles off their balcony onto the street below.*

Four individuals have since been charged in relation to the incident, along with several others who attended the illegal gathering at the condo.

Since then, Toronto Police have responded to two similar incidents. On Monday, an individual was reportedly throwing food and water bottles from a building, but the unit was never located.

The second occurred just hours later in the Sheppard Avenue and Weston Road area. Police said that the objects that were thrown nearly struck parents and children by the daycare below.

What — if anything — is fuelling this trend remains unclear, but one thing's for sure — Mayor John Tory is not impressed.
