Fans are holding their breath to see if Toronto Raptors' Fred VanVleet will be returning to the 6ix next season.

The player became a free agent this year after the Raptors returned home from their Flordia bubble at the end of the season.

Now, it looks like VanVleet may not be returning back to Toronto as a U.S. franchise revealed their interest in the point guard.

$20M Knicks' reported offer

According to Sports Illustrated, The Knicks could be looking to steal VanVleet away from Toronto with a lucrative $20 million per season offer.

New York isn't the only team looking at the 26-year-old NBA star.

The Detroit Pistons also have $20 million to offer the player.

Despite being at the centre of numerous trade rumours, Fred has, so far, kept tight-lipped about his leanings.

Still, VanVleet did say during an appearance on Tim & Sid earlier this month that in a "perfect world" he'd re-sign with the Raptors.

In the end, only time will tell if the Toronto favourite will end up staying in the True North.
