Attention drivers! The city has announced that 50 Toronto speed cameras will be popping up in new locations starting this week.

The automated devices have been on the streets since July and have handed out thousands of tickets to speeding drivers.

During the month of September, the highest fine was $706 and was issued to someone driving 78 kilometres an hour in a 30 zone.

50 Number of speed cameras

According to a news release, all existing cameras are now being moved to brand new locations

"All 50 ASE devices will be moved to new locations starting this week to address a greater number of areas with safety concerns and to encourage a wide-ranging deterrent effect," reads the statement.

Some of these areas include Dundas Street East, east of Broadview Avenue and Jane Street, north of Lambton Avenue.

Signage has been posted on these streets to warn drivers of the new locations.

If these cameras catch you speeding, you can expect to receive a fine.
