There are signs of spring everywhere you look these days, and Toronto's cherry blossoms are starting to show their petals earlier than normal.

Sakura trees are in bloom all over the city, from the streets of Corso Italia to Mount Pleasant cemetery.

As predicted by Steve Joniak of Sakura in High Park, this spring's warmer weather has allowed for an earlier start to the cherry blossom season, which typically takes place from the end of April to mid-May.

These sakura trees are early to the party, and you don't need to make a special trip to High Park to see them — in fact, there are tons of lesser-known spots with cherry blossoms to see.

There may not be much to do in the city these days, but at least these new blooms will add some colour to your daily walks.
