Toronto Police Warn Of Fake Travel Website Charging $730 For Flights Out Of Canada
Toronto Police want you to be aware of a suspected travel scam on a fraudulent website.
The website, pandemictrip.com, has the same features as any other booking service, and it advertises $730 roundtrip flights to Delhi from various cities in Canada, including Toronto.

Toronto Police is urging the public to be vigilant with their information when searching for deals online.

"Their search query asks for the user’s name and mobile phone number," states the public safety alert issued on January 6.
"Once a query is made, the user is contacted through a messaging app and the user is asked to provide identification and payment information."
The travel site promotes "special flights during Covid" that you can book 24/7.
The About Us page says that they "work with top suppliers" to ensure the best deals on vacations, accommodations and rentals.
Narcity has reached out to pandemictrip.com for their response and has not yet heard back.
"The Toronto Police is urging the public to be vigilant with their information when searching for deals online and to only use reputable companies when conducting these queries."
In September, Ontario Provincial Police issued an alert about fake online ads for rentals that preyed on people looking for a cottage getaway.
