Ontario Man Charged For Yelling Racial Slurs & Spitting At A Vaccination Clinic

Police say a Vaughan man is facing one charge of assault after trying to spit on the employees of a vaccination clinic.

According to York Regional Police, the suspect, 51-year-old Erez Harosh, also yelled anti-Black racial slurs at one employee when visiting the clinic on June 2.

"Investigators identified the suspect and on Thursday, June 10, 2021, he was arrested and has been charged with Assault as a result of the spitting," an excerpt from the police report reads.

"The incident is believed to be hate-motivated and those elements will be brought forward during the court process," it adds.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the York Regional Police Hate Crime Unit.
