Production Planner
Salary: $77,112 to $95,256

Who Should Apply: You must have a university degree in operations management, administration, engineering, or a related field, or at least five years of experience in a production environment with one to two years in planning.
Also, it's required that you're proficient with Microsoft Office apps, bilingual in English and French, and have communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
Familiarity with planning tools like IBM Maximo, Power Query and Power BI is an asset but not required.

General Worker — Passenger Car Cleaner
Salary: $32.39 an hour, plus $1.50 or $2 for night shifts

Who Should Apply: You must have a high school diploma and experience in commercial cleaning or building maintenance.
Also, you need a valid driver's license and the ability to lift weights of up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility is required as you could have to work day, evening, night or weekend shifts.
Education or experience in mechanics is a plus but not required to get hired.

Diesel Engine Mechanic

Who Should Apply: You must have three years of diesel engine internal combustion engine experience. A combination of education, training and practical experience will be considered as well.
If you have a 421A license or a 310T license (acquired through an apprenticeship and passing of an exam administered by Skilled Trades Ontario), that's an asset. But an HDM license is preferred.
Also, you need to be able to work a varied schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
It's considered an asset if you have experience in:

- diesel mechanics

VIA Rail is looking to hire for six Heavy Duty Mechanic positions at the Toronto Maintenance Centre in Etobicoke.

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have three years of experience related to the job, along with HVAC experience.
You must have an Electrician Trade Certification 442A or 309A (acquired through an apprenticeship and passing of an exam administered by Skilled Trades Ontario), and a Red Seal certification.
It's required that you're able to work day or night shifts, including weekends.
Railway motive power experience and a professional or technical degree related to the position are assets but not required.
This position is located at the Toronto Maintenance Centre in Etobicoke.

Supervisor, Mechanical and Maintenance
Salary: $92,534 to $114,307
Company: VIA Rail
Who Should Apply: You need a college degree or any other combination of studies and work experience in a relevant field.
Also, a minimum of five years of supervisory experience related to the manufacturing or transportation industry is required.
You must be proficient in Microsoft Office apps, be able to work nights, and be able to travel between Toronto's Union Station and Windsor.
Experience working in a unionized environment and familiarity with Transport Canada Railway regulations are assets.
