A Crash Involving Up To 70 Vehicles Is Blocking The Highway After A Brutal Alberta Storm

On Monday, March 29, a massive crash involving between 50 and 70 cars has blocked the Trans-Canada Highway and diverted traffic.

The crash took place in southeast Alberta just outside of Brooks around 8 a.m.

According to The Sun, the cause of the crash isn't yet known, but visibility was poor in the area and road conditions were especially awful. 

Alberta received a massive dump of snow on Sunday and wind gusts continued into Monday, making it really difficult to see.

While traffic is being redirected, this part of the Trans-Canada Highway is expected to be at a standstill for a while.
