Did you know that you can find paradise right in the desert? Grand Canyon National Park is filled with hidden gems, but there's one oasis that's unlike the rest. It looks like something you'd find in the rainforest.

Elves Chasm is one of the most enchanting waterfalls in the state — if you didn't know where to look, you might not know it exists.

There a couple of different ways to reach the falls, one of which is by hiking the Royal Arch Loop trail.

It's not for the faint of heart as this five-day loop is described as one of the most difficult ones around, so prepare for an Indiana Jones journey, literally.

The National Park Service (NPS) notes that you'll need a minimum of "a 40 foot rappel rope, 20 feet of webbing for the anchor, additional webbing to tie a harness, a locking carabineer," and an ascender.

It's a remote hike that's filled with so much beauty!

This secluded backpacking trip requires a backcountry permit, which costs $10 and $8 per person.

These types of trails are so popular that there's a schedule in which you can request one, so plan accordingly.

Another equally challenging way to reach this secret oasis is by opting for a rafting trip on the Colorado River.

These rafting vacations can be very pricey, but you'll have knowledgeable guides with you every step of the way.

The path to this gem is about 1.5 miles long, and the NPS says it's rough and rocky.

Ultimately, you're going downriver to Royal Arch Canyon, where your well-deserved reward awaits.

The aquamarine waters make for an enticing dip after all of your hard work to get there.

It's a bucket-list-worthy adventure fit for any explorer!
