For those looking to escape their frigid hometown and head for a sunny destination, you're in luck. United Airlines will fly you out to some of the country's best tropical spots for as little as $39.

If the West Coast suits your style more, you'll be able to head to cities such as Orange County and Los Angeles to soak up the sun in California.

Other cities you can travel to for less than $70 include Las Vegas, Atlanta, Palm Springs, and even Ontario.
