According to the statement, there are 21 cases associated with the same off-campus gatherings cluster.

Ten of those cases have been linked back to the University of Waterloo, and university officials are reaching out to all high-risk contacts of the people affected.

The university said it will be implementing changes as a result of the cases and that all students should remain in their rooms at all times except to attend classes, exercise or get food.
