In the U.S. election, Canada 's population accounts for over half of all the votes Joe Biden has so far. In fact, the presidential candidate has now secured the most votes in American history.

Biden's numbers continue to climb as more votes get counted, and the same goes for Donald Trump's portion of the vote.

Even though no winner has been declared in the 2020 presidential election, two major sources now claim Biden has beaten Obama's record threshold.
Trump has also reportedly surpassed the number of votes he got back in 2016. According to CNN, he has over 66 million votes as of 1:40 p.m. EST.
As the results continue to trickle in, Trump described the mail-in votes as "very strange."
