With so many things to do in Florida, it can be hard to choose just one - that is until you hear that there's a Key Largo underwater lodge that lets guests sleep with the fish. Basically, you are going to want to add this to your bucket list travel destinations.
Jules' Undersea Lodge located in the lagoon at Key Largo Undersea Park, is one of the world's only underwater hotels. It gives guests an opportunity to experience a night of rest and relaxation next to marine life 21 feet below the surface. You must scuba dive to get to the lodge; thankfully scuba gear and training are offered on site so you can come unprepared but willing to learn.
Just because you are 21ft below doesn't mean you will have to sacrifice on creature comforts either. The cottage-sized rooms are equipt with hot showers, a well-stocked kitchen (complete with refrigerator and microwave), books, an Amazon FireStick which offers music and movies on demand - of course you will be much too busy watching the fish swim by.
The best part about it all? You can have their world famous pizza delivered hot'n'fresh straight to your room via mermaid.
The standard price per night for two in one stateroom is $800 which includes a pizza dinner and breakfast.
- Single Occupancy: $675
- Group Economy Packages
Group of 3-4: $350 per person
Group of 5-6: $300 per person
Additionally, you can upsell for a more elegant dinner: choice of lobster or filet mignon, baked potato, vegetable, salad, roll, butter and homemade Key Lime Pie for an additional $80 per person.
It's a small price to pay for an experience of a lifetime.
