Here's What We Know About What Canada's Upcoming Vaccine Passport Will Look Like
Fully vaccinated Canadians will have vaccine certificates by the fall.

On Wednesday, August 11, the Government of Canada announced that vaccine passports will be issued to Canadians in the fall of 2021 in order to prove their vaccination status for international travel.
Minister Marco Mendicino said fully vaccinated Canadians will be getting a government document that officially certifies their COVID-19 vaccine status.
While the ministers didn't reveal a great deal of information about what the certification might look like, Mendicino did note that the design will be the same across all provinces and it will include the "holder's COVID-19 vaccination history including the vaccine types, date, and location."
Minister Dominic LeBlanc went on to say that "we're obviously expecting it to be a digital credential, but there will obviously be other forms available to Canadians who aren't able to use a digital credential." Mendicino also noted that it may integrate with the ArriveCAN app in the future.
LeBlanc said that the Federal Government expects to "have this proof of vaccine credential available early this fall."
