This spot was ranked as Canada's biggest tourist trap and it's probably not what you think

It's not the CN Tower!

A new ranking has revealed the biggest "money trap" in Canada — and the top spot might surprise you. While some of the usual suspects you might expect (looking at you, CN Tower) made the list, a B.C. attraction ultimately claimed the number one spot.

The ranking analyzed TripAdvisor reviews, focusing on mentions of words like "rip-off," "overpriced," and "tourist trap," combined with overall sentiment and star ratings.

Unfortunately for Vancouver, one of the city’s most popular attractions topped the list. Capilano Suspension Bridge was named the "biggest money trap" in Canada — with the ranking suggesting it "may not be worth your money."

The park is known for its stunning North Vancouver setting, iconic suspension bridge, and treetop walkways. But according to this ranking, the price tag doesn't match the experience for some reviewers.

The ranking, conducted by CasinoBonusCA, found that visitors often described the attraction as "underwhelming and overpriced." According to the data, there were 262 mentions of it being a "tourist trap," with some reviewers suggesting that "there are more beautiful (and free) views in the surrounding area."

Depending on when you go ticket prices can vary, but according to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park website day tickets are $72.95 for adults.

For those looking to save some money while still enjoying nature, Lynn Canyon suspension bridge is a popular, and free, go-to that's also in North Vancouver.

While it doesn't have all the amenities that Capilano Suspension Bridge Park does, it seems like some people are opting for free views!
