BC's Dreamiest Flower Festival Is On Now Near Vancouver & It's Just $5 To Go

Calling all flower children.
Contributor

It's time to stop and smell the flowers. The most glorious flower festival is taking place right outside Vancouver and it's such a hidden gem. Cultus Lake Flower Festival is the place to be if you want to make the most of summer this year.

The festival kicked off on Monday, July 20, and will be open to the public until September 20.

So you have more than enough time to make the trip down to Yarrow, B.C. and bask in the sweet scents of the Earth's prettiest creations.

Yarrow is nestled among the mountains between Abbotsford and Chilliwack. The drive from downtown Vancouver should be just over an hour, so it's the perfect excuse for a lovely day trip.

Unlike other summers, this year's flower patch will be a tad small, according to the festival's official page. But it will still be worth the trip for you and any flower lover in your life.

The flower farm's owner, Jesse Wegenast, said that he likes to cultivate a variety of flowers in the fields, including the likes of wildflowers, dahlias, and sunflowers

"Bouquet sales will be offered this year," says the website.

Basically, you're in for an evening of wandering through fields of beautiful blooms, snapping photos, and living out that summertime fairytale you deserve.

There's also an epic lawn with picnic tables right beside the field, so you and your crew can feast your eyes on the stunning flowers while having a cute picnic.

The farm provides picnic blankets as well. If you do stop for a bite to eat, you're advised to clean up after yourself as this is a working family farm.

The flower fest venue is open every day from 4 p.m. until dusk. You better believe that you'll have one of the best sunset spots in the whole province.

In terms of tickets, you can only book them online. This is done to ensure there's no overcrowding on site.

It's $5 per person for general admission, and free for kids under seven.

Seeing how it's such a picturesque scene, you can also request to hold events at the farm, such as weddings, dinners, or just good old photoshoots for the 'gram.

B.C. is absolutely blooming with flower fields, and now you've discovered yet another dazzling place to add to the list.

So buckle up and get ready for a dreamy adventure in the valley.
