BC Officially Has The Highest Active COVID-19 Rate In Canada

B.C. is home to the wild pacific ocean, towering mountains, lush rainforests, and now the highest active COVID-19 rate in Canada.

According to health data from the Canadian government on Sunday, September 20, there were 36 cases per 100,000 people in the westernmost province.

Close behind in second place is Quebec with 35 cases per 100,000 people.

B.C. will announce new case numbers in the afternoon on Monday, September 21 but on Friday, September 18 there were 1,803 active cases in the province.

The province is experiencing an all-time high of active cases and recently brought new measures and fines in before the start of the school year to help slow the spread.
