BC Black Bear Wanted After Biting A 10-Year-Old Girl In A Popular Park
A wildlife encounter in B.C. turned left on the weekend when a 10-year-old girl became the victim of a bear attack in Metro Vancouver.

According to a release by the Conservation Officer Service, the girl and her family were walking in North Vancouver's Rice Lake Park on Friday, July 24 when the bear approached them.

When her family and a bystander tried to scare it away, it bit the girl on the leg; she had to be taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are currently searching for the bear, and have closed the park for at least five days while investigating.
Officers warned park-goers to keep track of any food leftover from their stays, as it could attract wildlife and lead to more bear attacks in the future.
