Just an hour and a half away from the bustling streets of Vancouver sits this tiny town — the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the views.

If you're looking for a cozy weekend escape, this B.C. small town won't disappoint. It was even named among the "most tranquil" destinations in the world, in a Travelbag ranking. With idyllic lakes, mountain views, and peaceful spas tucked away in nature, it's no surprise Whistler made the cut.

Whistler is a popular ski town near Vancouver with a charming village brimming with little shops and restaurants. It's lively with lots to do as one of the main tourist spots in the province, but still maintains a small-town feel and overall peacefulness.

Within minutes, you can be surrounded by my quiet wilderness here, whether it's on a hike into the lush forest, just sitting alongside a peaceful lake, or retreating into a local spa.

Whistler Village is where you'll find most of the shops and restaurants, with cute streets to roam around.

Fall is the perfect time ot visit here, when the air is crisp and the crowds are fewer.

It's also the perfect hiking weather, ideal for getting outside and seeing nature before it gets too chilly.

If you want to feel extra pampered, you can stay at one of the luxurious accommodations here, like the Four Seasons. There you'll find an extra bit of peace on a balcony looking out at the vibrant forest and mountains beyond.

Sparkling lakes are dotted around Whistler, making it easy to get your nature fix on a visit. Lost Lake is especially serene, nestled in the forest, and it's the perfect place to go and enjoy some alone time.

If your goal is tranquillity, then a visit to Scandinave Spa Whistler is a must.

The thermal spa is like a little oasis, tucked away in lush nature. You can spend all day here going between suanas, cold plunges, steam rooms, and relaxation areas here.

After a weekend of forest bathing, spa-going, and cafe visits in this cozy little town, you'll head back ot the city feeling recharged.
