This dreamy resort nestled in the mountains, not far from Vancouver, was ranked among Canada's best. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, this hotel is the perfect place for a cozy winter getaway.

US News just released its 2025 rankings for the Best Hotels, highlighting beautiful stays around the world. Four Seasons Resort Whistler snagged the fifth spot in the Best Hotels in Canada list, solidifying its status as a top-tier hotel in the country.

To make the ranking, a hotel has to first meet certain criteria, including being highlight-rated and having a minimum of 20 reviews across various sources. From there, the hotels are ranked using a scoring system that accounts for awards, hotel class, and guest rating.

Four Seasons Resort Whistler came right behind The Ritz-Carlton in Montreal, Four Seasons Hotel Montreal, Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, and Four Season Hotel Toronto.

While Toronto may have taken the top spot for Canadian hotels, Four Seasons Resort Whistler offers a different type of experience, away from the bustle of a city.

Here, you can escape into the winter wonderland that is the famous ski town, which the resort website calls "a vibrant European-esque village."

The streets here are lined with shops with the backdrop of mountains, giving it that European-like charm.

The luxurious hotel is at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, so you're close to the main village but set back enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The hotel brings the ski-town charm with an elevated log cabin vibe, rooms with roaring fireplaces, and balconies to enjoy the mountainscape from.

There's also an outdoor pool so you can breathe in the mountain air, and of course, skiing right at your doorstep.

Just an hour and a half from Vancouver makes for the ideal winter getaway.
