Canada is home to some of the best ski resorts in the world, drawing in travellers from all around to experience the winter season in the Great White North. B.C. is at the top of the bucket lists for many skiers, and one mountainside stay near Vancouver was just named the best in the country for people to stay on a ski vacation.

The World Ski Awards released their annual list of the top resorts, hotels and chalets globally, and Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside took the title of the best in Canada.

While Whistler has no shortage of luxurious hotel options, Pan Pacific has an ideal location in the village just a few steps away from the gondolas, making it the perfect place to stay for quick access to both Whistler and Blackcomb. It's location also makes it perfect for exploring the local shops and restaurants in the village.

After a day on the mountain you can wind down in their headed pool and hot tubs, overlooking Whistler.

Although Whistler is a global tourist destination, it's also the perfect getaway spot for people living in Vancouver. Just an hour and a half drive from the city along the Sea-to-Sky Highway will get you to the small town.

You can have a dreamy winter getaway here, swapping out the rainy weather of Vancouver for the snow-blanketed walkways of the village.
