British Columbia's weather forecast is looking particularly wet as another system moves in during an ongoing "storm parade." Residents across the province should prepare for heavy rainfall, alpine snow, and a risk of thunderstorms.

According to The Weather Network (TWN), B.C. is in the midst of a series of storms, with Wednesday already bringing significant rain — and more is on the way.

Multiple weather systems are expected to hit the province through the weekend, bringing additional heavy rain and mountain snow starting on Thursday. Thunderstorms are also possible, with a risk along the coast on Thursday and in the Interior on Friday.

TWN reports that rainfall totals will be "quite heavy" in coastal areas, with substantial alpine snowfall at higher elevations. Through to Friday, rainfall accumulation is expected to reach over 50 mm in the Lower Mainland and more than 100 mm on western Vancouver Island. This also means "significant alpine snow accumulation" for up to 75 cm in some areas.

Due to the heavy precipitation, TWN warns of potential localized flooding and travel delays.

While Saturday may bring a brief break from the stormy conditions, precipitation is expected to return on Sunday, with the possibility of an atmospheric river developing into Monday.
