This BC Pub Makes A $2 Chicken Wing So Hot You Need To Sign A Waiver To Eat It

It could be the spiciest food you ever tasted.šŸ”„

Do you always have multiple bottles of hot sauce in your refrigerator? If so, you will definitely want to try this Metro Vancouver chicken wings spot. Their signature Bobby Wings are so spicy you need to sign a waiver.

According to Wings, the dish is named after their president Bobby Naicker as, "Bobby and his friends used to come into the restaurant regularly and order wings, but they always commented that the wings didn't have enough heat."

If you are up to the challenge, you can certainly take a bite of this fiery food. But, be warned: it is incredibly hot.

How hot are Bobby Wings?

Each bite of the crispy wings tastes like setting your tastebuds on fire, which is why you need to sign a safety waiver before you dig in.

The locally sourced meat is brined, baked, then fried to seal in the spicy flavours that pack a punch. The sauce is made with some of the world's hottest peppers that are sure to leave you reaching for a cold drink.

If you are someone who finds jalapeno hot, then you should skip this meal. While the exact blend is a secret, we got the inside scoop that the sauce includes scotch bonnet, habanero and aged cayenne. Combined, the blend has a rating of 1.2 million Scoville Units.

Where can you try it?

You can try them at any of their locations, including Richmond, Langley, Abbotsford, Burnaby and Coquitlam.

But for safety reasons, you can't order their hottest menu item through Skip the Dish or Doordash. Instead, they available for dine-in only so they can have you sign the waiver.Ā

For those of you who are are curious but don't want to buy an entire plate, you can get just one for a toonie. A regular order of 10 pieces of their hormone-free chicken costs $13.50, and the suggested 'antidote' drink is $4.

What do you get for completing the challenge?

There is no cash prize or free meal awarded for cleaning your plate. But if you do manage to eat a whole order of 10 wings in one sitting, you'll get your name on their wall of fame.

In 2020, there have been 530 orders, roughly two per week at each store. But the number of people who have successfully finished is dramatically lower.

If you manage to eat everything, you can look forward to more than your name on the wall. The store will celebrate your victory. Every location does things slightly differently, but you can expect the waiters to put on a show with dazzling flashing lights.
