BC's Daily COVID-19 Cases Just Practically Doubled In One Day

B.C. had a record day today and not in a good way — daily COVID-19 cases in B.C. were the third-highest they've ever been since the start of the pandemic.

On Wednesday, August 12, Dr. Bonnie Henry released a statement that shared some sobering numbers.

New COVID-19 cases in B.C.

One day earlier, the province saw 44 new cases — more people have COVID-19 in B.C. now than they ever have before with 531 active cases.

Most cases are in young people in the Lower Mainland who were exposed to it at parties and events.
