Walmart Canada is making some changes that its employees are likely to appreciate, and it might just make you consider switching careers if you're looking for something new.

On Wednesday, September 25, the company announced that it would be putting an additional $92 million toward pay increases for eligible supply chain workers, hourly retail staff, and frontline management.

It's the latest move in their ongoing effort to improve conditions and support the growth of their employees through a combination of better wages, benefits, and training opportunities. It comes after a similar $53 million wage investment into store associates' wages was announced earlier this year.

If you're looking for a career change or just want a job that promises a whole bunch of benefits, there's some good news. Walmart Canada is currently hiring for a whole bunch of roles, from jobs in marketing or management to roles in tech or finance. There are also open roles for drivers, pharmacists and hourly associates.

With more than 400 stores and over 100,000 employees nationwide, Walmart Canada is one of the country's largest employers. And, now with the promise of higher wages across a wide range of roles, it could be a good time to take a look at the kind of roles on offer right now.

But it's not just about the pay. Walmart associates also have access to a range of benefits, including health and dental coverage, enhanced prescription drug plans, and even fertility treatment support.

There are also mental health care options and 24/7 virtual care through TELUS Health. Plus, employees get a 10% discount on groceries and merchandise sold at Walmart, which can help with day-to-day expenses.

The company has also been investing in education for its workers through the Live Better U program, covering the cost of tuition, books, and course fees for a variety of courses. Over 3,000 employees have taken advantage of the program so far, and Walmart plans to invest $50 million over the next five years to expand these opportunities.

If you're looking for a new job or thinking about making a career change, it might be worth checking out what Walmart Canada has to offer. A full list of the open roles can be found here.
