Canada Is Among The World’s Least-Polluted Countries & Our Air Is Super Clean

According to a new report from IQAir, a Swiss air quality technology company, Canada was one of the world’s least-polluted countries as of 2020.
The company's research found that of 106 countries ranked by their levels of air pollution, Canada came in 97th place — meaning our levels of air pollution are low and the quality of the air we breathe is pretty great!

IQAir’s data found that Canada has met the World Health Organization’s targets for air quality for the past three years in a row, beating out countries like the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
It scored 7.30 on the chart, whereas the most-polluted regions, such as Bangladesh, Pakistan and India, scored between 51.90 and 77.10 in 2020.
There are only a number of places in the world that are rated better than Canada, including Iceland, New Zealand, Estonia, Norway and Sweden, among a few others.
