If you want to make some extra cash while staying at home, you can apply for jobs so that you can get paid to watch horror movies without having to get up off the couch.

There are two companies with positions open that will have you watching a bunch of scary films and they both pay $1,300 for sitting through your very own scary binge sessions.

Salary: $1,300 plus a $50 gift card for movie rentals

Who Should Apply: Someone based in the U.S. and at least 18 years old who can sit through 13 scary movies to help figure out whether or not a movie's budget impacts how terrifying it is. Getting the job means watching the films while wearing a Fitbit to monitor heart rate.

The movies that are part of this frightening film festival are Saw, The Amityville Horror, A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part 2, Candyman, Insidious, The Blair Witch Project, Sinister, Get Out, The Purge, Halloween (2018), Paranormal Activity and Annabelle.

The position requires someone who can be detail-oriented enough to track their journey through 13 Stephen King movies, including monitoring their heart rate is, recording which is their favourite or least favourite, whether they're watching alone and more.

The 13 films are Carrie, Children of the Corn, Christine, Creepshow, Cujo, It, It: Chapter Two, Misery, The Mist, Pet Sematary, Salem's Lot, The Shining and Doctor Sleep.
