Why You Need To Go: This is a short, easy hike through a balsam fir and white birch forest to a breathtaking waterfall that plunges 40 metres over a 1-billion-year-old ridge.
Niagara Glen Whirlpool Trail

Why You Need To Go: This trail is 1.9 kilometres and is considered difficult. It takes you along the rapid blue waters of the Niagara River and to the whirlpool, a natural phenomenon.
Bruce Trail Great Falls Loop

Why You Need To Go: The Great Falls loop is a 3.5-kilometre hike that's part of the Bruce Trail and starts off at the beautiful Smokey Hollow Falls. Then you'll hike through the forest along a creek with ancient rock formations.

Location: Canmore, AB
Why You Need To Go: There are two routes here and the short, picturesque trail is perfect if you want an easy but beautiful hike. It leads you through a dense forest to a striking turquoise lake.
Skyline Trail
Location: Cape Breton, NS
Why You Need To Go: It's a 6.5-kilometre return hike or an 8.2-kilometre loop. You can spot whales, moose, bald eagles and bears along the way, and there's a cliff that overlooks the coast with a beautiful boardwalk you can stroll on.
Garibaldi Lake Trail

Why You Need To Go: This trail is an 18-kilometre loop if you take the long route but about halfway through it, you can branch-off to a shorter hike which takes you to Garibaldi Lake and its stunning turquoise water.
