OpenTable has released a list of Canada's best brunch restaurants, detailing the best places across the country for the perfect morning meal.

The restaurant reservations service says it scanned diner metrics and over 1.3 million diner reviews to narrow down the top brunch restaurants across Canada.

Whether you're looking for the perfect Toronto brunch spot or a new place to start your day in Vancouver, here are the best brunch spots in Canada for 2024:

Ontario

The best brunch restaurants in Ontario include many Toronto brunch spots as well as eateries in and around the GTA and in Ottawa.

In Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario's Bistro was listed as one of the city's top brunch spots, serving up classics like buttermilk pancakes and more unique brunch options like hot smoked Acadian sturgeon.

Also on the list are Danforth restaurant Allen's, where you can get eggs pretty much any way you want them, and Distillery District French bistro Cluny, where offerings include crepes and eggs and a smoked salmon tower.

British Columbia

A total of 25 restaurants in British Columbia made the list of Canada's top 100, with many Vancouver brunch spots where you're sure to have a memorable meal.

Among the Vancouver brunch restaurants were Beach House Restaurant, home of acclaimed West Coast cuisine, farm-to-table cafe Fable Kitchen, and Olympic Village eatery Tap & Barrel.

Quebec

Just 10 restaurants made the list of the best brunch in Quebec, according to OpenTable.

Known for its food scene, it's no surprise that all but one of the restaurants listed are in Montreal.

Top spots for brunch include the Ritz-Carlton's Maison Boulud, the elegant Rosélys, and the grand heritage home restaurant Bar George.

Alberta

Nine brunch restaurants in Alberta were listed among the best in Canada for 2024. They include Edmonton's floral-inspired Brew + Bloom restaurant, the historic Deane House in Calgary, and The Vermillion Room at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

Nova Scotia

Just a handful of Nova Scotia restaurants were listed as being some of the best places for brunch in Canada.

Among them are the stunning Cafe Lunette in Halifax, where the decor and food will transport you to France, and neighbourhood restaurant The Canteen on Portland in Dartmouth.

Saskatchewan

Finally, just one Saskatchewan restaurant was named among the best places for brunch in the country.

Hearth Restaurant in Saskatoon was named the best brunch in the province, serving up "thoughtful prairie cooking," in an "unpretentious atmosphere," with hearty dishes like English breakfast, lentil stew and cured trout on the menu.
