But what are the best grocery products that you can get for cheap at the discount retailer?
Well, Narcity posted on Facebook and asked Canadians to reveal what the best cheap grocery items are at Dollarama.
Shoppers gave quite a few recommendations for products that are best to get at the discount retailer.
"Bread is always $5-$6 at the grocery store and $3.99 at the dollar store. Same brand, size, expiry date," someone said.
You can actually get bread for even cheaper at some Dollarama stores with prices as low as $2.50 for a 675-gram loaf of Wonder bread.
Another shopper shared more than 20 products that are the best cheap groceries at Dollarama.
That includes white vinegar, olives, mustard, gravy mix packets, meat marinade packets, salt, pepper, baking soda, raisin bread, fruit snacks (not name brand), cans of Pepsi, snap pea chips, spices (like cinnamon, garlic powder, and onion powder), tuna, dry pasta, sugar and baking supplies.
"So much more," they continued.
A few people said that candy, chocolate and other confectionery items are the best products to get at Dollarama for cheap.
Someone else agreed that chocolate is the best Dollarama product and said, "87 cents there for me every time over the $2.79 at the corner store, sometimes more."
"They get some really good European cookies and things like that," one person commented.
Others said pretzels, rice cakes and condiments like relish are top cheap products at Dollarama.
"My dollar store list is always the same: snacks, juice, bread, canned goods, cleaning supplies, paper towel," someone commented.
Another shopper noted that drinks are the best grocery items to buy for cheap from Dollarama.
"Half the price of a grocery or convenience store," they explained.
A few people also said that garbage bags, sandwich bags, and organic bags are must-buys at the discount retailer.
Not everyone agreed on what the best cheap Dollarama products are, though.
"None because nothing is a f*cking dollar anymore," someone said.
