Canadians have revealed the fast food restaurants in Canada with the best fries.

There are two clear winners, but Canadians have a lot of opinions about where the spuds are supreme.

Narcity recently posted on Facebook and asked, "Which fast food restaurant in Canada do you think has the best fries?"

In more than 200 comments, Canadians named 18 fast food chains and retailers.

These are the top three fast food chains in Canada where you get the best fries, according to Canadians:

  1. McDonald's
  2. A&W
  3. Five Guys

Quite a few people noted that McDonald's fries are the best only when they're "hot and crispy."

Some also gave a shout-out to the sweet potato fries at A&W.

Then, there's a tie for fourth place between Wendy's, Arby's, Swiss Chalet, New York Fries and Harvey's.

Even though Wendy's is in the top five, a lot of Canadians commented that the fries aren't good like they used to be.

Someone said that curly fries from Arby's are the best fast food fries you can get in Canada.

"A&W and Wendy's are quite good. Harvey's are also not bad at all," another person commented.

It might be unexpected since the retailer isn't a fast food chain, but Costco is in the fifth spot on this ranking of the best fries in Canada!

You can get fries from the Costco food court at stores in Canada.

After that, Burger King and Popeyes are tied for sixth.

"Burger King fries are surprisingly good," someone told Narcity.

Only a few people said that Dairy Queen, Restaurant La Belle Province and Les Restaurants Lafleur have the best fries.

These fast food chains in Canada got just one comment each: Taco Bell, KFC, Triple O's and White Spot.

If you're wondering which spot has the cheapest fries, Narcity recently compared prices of classic menu items at Canada's big fast food restaurants.

Burger King, the place with the cheapest price, didn't make the top five in this ranking of the best fast food fries!

Narcity also asked Canadians to share what they think the best fast food chains in Canada are, and you might not expect the top restaurants.
