Ontario has so many beautiful provincial parks, making it tough to pick which one is best. However, locals recently weighed in on the subject, and there's a clear winner.

In a Reddit post, a user asked, "let's try something positive: what are your favourite Ontario parks? Any hidden gems?"

"[...] l want focus on one of my favourite things about the province: provincial parks. I've been to a handful of them but there are well over 100. Which is your favourite and why?" the user continued.

The question garnered over 100 responses and out of all the provincial parks named, one came out on top.

Lake Superior Provincial Park has received over 60 upvotes so far, making it the most popular suggestion in the thread.

"Lake Superior is the most beautiful one I've been to," the comment said.

The majestic park is known for its diverse landscapes and breathtaking hikes. You can explore cliffs, river valleys, waterfalls and more along the "world-class" trails.

It's also a certified Dark Sky Preserve and "is among the darkest of all Dark Sky Preserves in Canada, and also on Earth," according to Ontario Parks.

During the fall, the park transforms with stunning hues of red and orange, so it's a beautiful time to visit.

Other popular comments suggested parks like Sleeping Giant, Sandbanks and Pinery.

If you're craving adventure, Lake Superior Provincial Park is worth a road trip.
