Thinking about a move? Ontario has so many beautiful places to call home, and this spot is worth checking out. With stunning water views, majestic waterfalls and small-town charm, it might just be your dream destination.

Moving truck company U-Haul released its Growth Index, showcasing the 25 top growth cities in Canada for 2024.

The destinations were ranked based on the net gain or loss of one-way truck rentals over a year, using data from more than 2.5 million annual moves in Canada and the United States.

Even though Ontario ranked last among the provinces for growth in 2024, it's home to 16 of the country's top 25 growth cities.

"Ontario will always be the economic heart of Canada and has so much to offer its residents," Jake Spelic, U-Haul Area District Vice President, said in the study.

"What is interesting on our growth cities list is that all the top destinations in Ontario are smaller cities, and most are considered four-season recreational areas. The trend seems to be people are looking for more affordable housing in popular recreational areas with less hustle and bustle than the larger cities."

One of the Ontario spots listed was Owen Sound, a quaint city on an inlet of Georgian Bay.

According to the Owen Sound website, it's known as the "Scenic City" and "features an expansive harbour and bay, winding rivers, tree-lined streets, extensive parks and trails and a thriving, historic downtown."

The city's motto is "Where You Want to Live," and it describes itself as "one of the most peaceful, friendly, and ambitious cities in Ontario."

It's a great spot to live if you love the outdoors. The city is surrounded by numerous waterfalls, including the majestic Inglis Falls and hidden Jones Falls.

You can also paddle along the river, soak up the sun at the beaches, and explore the scenic Bruce Trail.

Other highlights of the city include art galleries, museums and beautiful parks.

If you're looking for a new place to call home, Owen Sound offers small-town vibes with city conveniences.
