This giant inflatable water park near Calgary with a 15-foot tower is re-opening this weekend

Need a fun weekend activity?

Editor

If you're looking for fun things to do near Calgary this weekend, we've got your answer. This giant inflatable water park is opening for the summer and it'll make you channel your inner child.

The Sylvan Lake Aqua Splash is set in the little town of Sylvan Lake, just an hour and a half away from Calgary. The lakeside town is the perfect summer escape with a quaint atmosphere, small town streets, and a coastal vibe (lighthouse and all!).

The pre-season opening of the Aqua Splash on the lake is June 14 and 15, so you can make a day trip from Calgary to make a splash.

The water playground has a 15-foot tower, 15- food climbing wall, and a 15 foot slide to make it extra adventurous. Then there's the oversized trampoline, monkey swing bars, other slides and cliffs, and a half pipe.

The inflatable park is ideal for a sunny summer day, and will bring out the competition among friends.

A half-day pass to it is $29, and a full-day pass is $40. You can also opt for just an hour on the water park for $18.

After having some fun out on the water you can walk around and enjoy the picturesque town. In the summer months it's especially lively with lots of events and things to do. Strolling around town you can pop into the local shops and cute coffee shops, ending the day with a waterfront stroll as the sun sets.

The lake is calling!
