Canada's COVID-19 vaccine delivery is on route with doses of Pfizer-BioNTech onboard but a massive snowstorm is getting in the way.

According to CP24 News via The Canadian Press, the vaccine is made in Belgium but this shipment is coming via UPS through Kentucky.

403,000 Pfizer vaccine doses in this shipment.

This shipment will be the biggest batch of COVID-19 vaccines to land in Canada so far.

However, UPS has shut down operations in Louisville, Kentucky following a dump of over 15 centimetres of snow.

Health Canada reportedly explained that this delay will push the delivery back at least one day behind schedule, therefore predicting that it will arrive in Canada by Friday, February 19.

Justin Trudeau recently announced that 4 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine will arrive in Canada by the end of March.

Between both Pfizer and Moderna, the country is slated to receive 84 million COVID-18 vaccine doses by the end of the summer.

The prime minister maintains that all Canadians will be able to get vaccinated by the end of September if they choose to do so.
