The CRA Is Hiring Recent Grads In 4 Provinces & You Could Make Over $58K

No experience needed!
Contributor

Finding a career can be a challenge for any graduate, but there are some really great options out there. Canada's government jobs are often a huge draw for those who just got their degree, and a new opportunity is available. The Canada Revenue Agency is hiring new grads to fill positions in four provinces.

The agency is currently looking for people to work in Summerside and Charlottetown, PEI, St. John's and Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Moncton and Saint John, New Brunswick, and Bathurst, Halifax, and Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Anyone interested can apply now, and the highest possible salary is just under $59,000.

What are the positions?

Graduates who want to apply to work at the CRA will be added to a pool of candidates.

What makes this process more interesting is that there are a number of positions that need to be filled in various cities in the eastern provinces. The job duties associated with each one will vary depending on where you end up.

Due to the fact that there are so many different career paths (which are not listed on the CRA's job posting), the salary may also be different.

However, it will still fall within the very attractive range of $52,410 to $58,988 a year.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to anyone who is currently living in Canada, as well as Canadian citizens living outside of the country.

Anyone who is interested in a position must have a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, including universities, colleges, or CEGEP.

Other than that, no previous experience is required. If you are interested in applying to any bilingual positions, you can take an optional self-assessment to determine if you're a good fit.

The deadline for applying is 11:59 p.m Eastern time on October 31.

CRA notes that you will have to pay any associated relocation fees yourself if you plan on moving for any of these jobs.

Are there other jobs available for recent grads and students?

If working in revenue isn't really your speed, the Canadian government actually has different jobs available for grads and current students in other fields.

There are numerous administration positions available to graduates that pay anywhere from $51,538 to $72,660, and also offer great benefits.

The Canada Border Services Agency is looking for students to fill summer roles across the country, and the hourly rate can be as high as $33.58.

If you're the kind of person who longs to get off land and head out on the water, the Canada Coast Guard inshore rescue boat program is also hiring students.
