The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is looking to train people to work as Border Services Officers.

You can make up to $87,000 during training and then up to $101,000 a year once you become a Border Services Officer.

With these CBSA jobs, you don't need any experience or a university or college degree!

The country's federal law enforcement agency is recruiting Border Services Officer Trainees who will become Border Services Officers.

The CBSA salary for Border Services Officer Trainees is $78,769 to $87,708.

If you're selected, you must complete the Officer Induction Training Program.

Then, you must complete the Officer Induction Development Program before becoming a Border Services Officer.

The training program is four weeks of online learning and 14 weeks of in-person training at the Canada Border Services College in Quebec.

After a minimum of twelve months and the completion of the development program, you'll be recommended for promotion to a Border Services Officer.

Border Services Officers make $85,211 to $101,058 a year.

If you want to get hired, you must have a high school diploma or a government-approved alternative to a diploma.

No experience is required, but it's an asset if you have experience in law enforcement, effectively de-escalating difficult situations, working as a Student Border Services Officer, or with the Canadian Armed Forces.

There are a few conditions you have to meet for this job. You must:

  • complete firearm safety courses
  • maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • maintain a valid Standard First Aid Certificate
  • obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • carry, use and maintain CBSA-issued defensive equipment
  • work various shifts on rotation, including weekends and statutory holidays
  • operate a government vehicle
  • travel as needed in Canada, the U.S. or internationally
  • accept an assigned posting anywhere in Canada
