Costco has a few membership deals available in Canada right now.

These deals get you gift cards that save you money on Costco purchases.

You can get the vouchers whether you have a valid Costco membership, an expired membership or no membership at all.

So, here's what you need to know about the membership deals that get you Costco Canada gift cards.

Refer a friend for a membership

You can get Costco's Refer a Friend deal when you bring someone you know to a membership counter at a Costco location in Canada and get them to sign up for a membership.

During the signup process, show the membership clerk the Refer a Friend site.

You'll both get:

  • a $50 online voucher if they sign up for an Executive membership
  • a $25 online voucher if they sign up for a Gold Star membership

The voucher for the Executive membership can only be used on a minimum spend of $200 on Costco.ca.

The voucher for the Gold Star membership can only be used on a minimum spend of $125 on Costco.ca.

You must be a Costco member, and the person you refer must be a new member or someone whose membership has been expired for at least 18 months.

This deal is available until August 31, 2025, and the voucher must be used by September 28, 2025.

It can only be redeemed on purchases made with Costco's site in one transaction, before taxes, applicable fees and shipping.

Sign up for a membership

There is a deal that gets you a Costco gift card when you sign up for a new membership.

If you sign up for an Executive membership, you'll receive an online voucher for $80 off a $200 online purchase with Costco.

If you sign up for a Gold Star membership, you'll receive an online voucher for $40 off a $100 online purchase.

To get the voucher, enter the promo code — COSTCO80 for Executive or COSTCO40 for Gold Star — at the checkout when paying for your Costco membership online.

You'll receive an email with your membership number.

Then, you need to go to a Costco location and show that email to the membership counter clerk to pick up your membership card.

Your online voucher will be emailed to you within two to four business days.

This offer is for new members or people whose membership has been expired for at least 18 months.

You can only get the deal until August 31, 2025, and the voucher must be used by September 28, 2025.

Upgrade your membership

You can get a $25 gift card to save you money on a purchase when you upgrade your Costco membership to Executive.

If you have a Gold Star membership, sign in to your Costco account online or create one using your membership number.

Then, go to "Account," click on "Renew Membership," and click on "Upgrade Membership."

You have to enter payment details and then click "Upgrade Membership."

The promo code for the $25 online voucher will be emailed within two to four business days.

This upgrade offer is available until May 18, 2025, and the online voucher must be used by June 15, 2025.

You can use the online voucher code for one transaction that's greater than $25 before taxes, fees and shipping.
