The US Reported 103K Cases Of COVID-19 In 24 Hours & It Crushes Canada's Record
The United States has reported a record-breaking number of new COVID-19 cases, just one day after Americans headed to the polls.
In comparison, the record number of cases of COVID-19 in Canada across 24 hours is much, much lower.
As of November 5, the COVID Tracking Project reported over 100,000 new cases within 24 hours in the U.S., a figure around 34 times that of Canada’s all-time daily high.

This is the first time America’s daily case-count has topped 100,000.
The figure also eclipses the previous record of 97,080 cases, which was set osn October 30.
While the U.S. population is approximately nine times larger than Canada’s, their daily COVID-19 record is just over 34 times larger.
Canada's all-time-high record was 3,004 new cases within 24 hours, set on October 25.
While the figure seems relatively small in comparison to our southern neighbours, it’s a trend that's still concerning for Canada’s top doctor.
Speaking on November 4, Dr. Theresa Tam urged Canadians to stay vigilant ahead of the holiday season.
