Over 1K Flights In Canada May Have Had COVID-19 On Board Since September
That's a lot of planes! New data has revealed that COVID-19 on flights is becoming an issue, with over 1,000 Canadian flights potentially affected since September.
This figure includes at least 200 flights in the past two weeks alone, according to information provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to Global News.

Canadian flights with possible COVID-19 exposure
In total, it's believed that around 1,300 flights that have entered or left Canada since the beginning of September may have been affected by COVID-19.
Additionally, five of those were flights from the United Kingdom, where a new strain of COVID-19 has recently been found.
Per the report, it remains uncertain how many individuals could have been exposed to COVID-19 while on board.
The data does not confirm how many passengers were travelling for essential purposes, either.
Public health experts continue to warn against all non-essential travel, particularly ahead of the holidays.
In fact, Canada's top doctor has advised Canadians that holiday vacations, although dreamy, should not be encouraged.
"With the weather growing colder and winter almost upon us I know that many, including older Canadians, are dreaming of spending time in warmer climates," she said.
Dr. Theresa Tam explained that avoiding all non-essential travel is the best way to protect both yourself and your loved ones this Christmas.
