The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is hiring in Ontario and B.C.

Canada's foreign intelligence and security agency is looking for people to work as Facility Officers.

These CSIS jobs are available at regional offices in Ottawa and Burnaby.

As a Facility Officer, you'll analyze the services provided by the building systems, evaluate the maintenance performed on the building systems, determine opportunities for repairs, and make recommendations for improving the building system reliability.

The CSIS salary for these jobs is from $87,459 to $106,386 a year.

Only Canadian citizens are allowed to apply for Facility Officer positions.

You can get hired with a university degree, college diploma, college certificate or an apprenticeship.

If you have an undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, architecture or a related field, you need two years of experience.

If you have a college diploma or certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture or a related field, you need three years of experience.

If you have a college certificate or diploma, or an apprenticeship, you need five years of experience resulting in one of these certifications:

  • journeyman trade certification in a building or a mechanic trade
  • building systems technician
  • facilities technician or administrator
  • heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning technician
  • professional management certification related to facilities management like BOMI, IFMA, or an acceptable equivalent

It's required that you have experience working in a facilities management environment related to commercial, industrial, institutional, or office buildings.

Also, you must be able to work flexible shifts and travel to regional, district and satellite offices within Canada.

You need to be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance. That process involves a security interview, a polygraph, and a background investigation.
