Another political leader has the virus. Donald Trump's COVID-19 positive test had the prime minister reaching out with best wishes and hopes for a full recovery.

The morning after the U.S. President announced that he and his wife have the disease, Justin Trudeau sent them both a message.

In a tweet, Trudeau said that he and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, are sending best wishes to both Donald and Melania.

"We hope you both get well soon and have a full recovery from this virus," Trudeau also said in his tweet.

After midnight on October 2, Trump tweeted that both he and Melania tested positive for COVID-19.

He said that they're going into quarantine and starting their recovery process "immediately."

The U.S. president also noted that they'll get through it together.

While the PM hasn't tested positive, Grégoire Trudeau did earlier in the pandemic and made a full recovery.

Both the Conservative and Bloc Québécois leaders were recently confirmed as having COVID-19.
