Donald Trump Just Got Indefinitely Banned From Facebook And Instagram

Washington D.C. was the site of a violent protest as hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building just before Vice President Mike Pence was set to confirm Joe Biden as the next president.
President Donald Trump was not exactly quick to respond to the violence that ensued, but when he did, many believe that it just was not enough. In fact, it led to him getting banned on both Twitter and Facebook.

We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great.

Unlucky for those who actually enjoy seeing the president's rapid posting and tweeting, Facebook and Instagram CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Trump will be blocked from both sites indefinitely or until a peaceful transfer of power is complete.
Trump's recent tweets about the violent protest at the Capitol building now read "This Tweet is no longer available because it violated the Twitter Rules."
The president's ban on Twitter is set to expire after just a short 12 hours.
Shortly after his accounts were suspended, an account for the president appeared on Parler, which has a large user base made up of Trump supporters and conservatives.
The profile was able to reel in 13,000 followers in just one hour, as it seems those on the social media site were thrilled to see the president hop on.
But there are speculations as to whether the account was real or not, as it did not have the official Parler verification badge.
The account is now labeled as private just seven hours after its creation.

Parler's CEO, John Matz, called out Twitter and Facebook for banning the president, calling them "cowards."
"The cowardly authoritarians at Twitter booted president Trump from Twitter for 12 hours. What a bunch of cowards," said Matz.
