Visiting a pumpkin patch on a crisp fall day is about as wholesome as it can get, and a new ranking just put some of Canada's best ones to the test.

Alberta's Edmonton Corn Maze took the top spot, for the best pumpkin patch in all of Canada to visit this fall season. Alberta knows how to do fall right it seems like, because a Calgary farm got second place on the ranking.

Chefs Plate analyzed Google searches, visitor ratings, followers, cost, and attractions at pumpkin patches across the country, to narrow down the list of the top 10.

Edmonton Corn Maze got the top score of 74, landed it first place. This farm is a whole lot more than a pumpkin patch, which is partly why it scored well in the ranking.

Included in the general admission to the farm is access to the pumpkin patch, which is the picture-perfect fall vibe. Filled with vibrant pumpkins you can pick your favourite to turn into a jack-o'-lantern for the spooky season.

What really sets this place apart though is the corn maze. The website says that "each year the Edmonton Corn Maze choses a new design that features an organization, event, or milestone in our community."

This year the maze partnered with the Telus World of Science in Edmonton to create the design.

You can spend hours exploring the massive corn maze, and check out the other activities at the farm like the farm animals and mini golf.

There's also a farm market here where you can pick up local produce and goods.
