According to a press release by the airport, these tests work by using saliva from a person that then produces a positive or negative result in less than one minute.

While the airport has been approved for the program, there's no official launch date as of yet but once it begins, the trial is set to last several weeks over the fall.

The airport is hopeful that this kind test will help address the need for a 14 day quarantine period in Canada.

They also noted that this will hopefully lead to the elimination of the nasal swab.
