Pattinson said that police arrived at the location in a commercial complex called Ellwood Corner on 91 Street in southeast Edmonton at about 1:30 a.m.

That's where they found the massive group and "large volumes of alcohol and a DJ on the premises."

"The investigation is still ongoing, and discussions with AHS and the City of Edmonton are expected to be held regarding direction," he added.

CTV News Edmonton reported that attendees scattered when law enforcement arrived.

A man on the scene told CTV News that those who didn't run away were getting fines.

While police haven't mentioned any charges or ramifications just yet, they confirmed to Narcity that the investigation is ongoing.

Under Alberta's current health orders, no indoor gatherings are allowed with anyone outside your household.
