Jason Kenney Says Alberta Is Beyond Broke Thanks To COVID-19

Jason Kenney just broke some bad news to Albertans. 

On Tuesday, August 25, Premier Jason Kenney told the public in a press conference that Alberta will have the "most heavily-hit economy in Canada this year."

As a result, the Premier is changing up his cabinet to ensure "we have the right people in the right place" to carry out the recovery from the COVID-19 economic recessions. 

Kenney cited that both the COVID-19 pandemic and the "collapse of the energy prices" have contributed to the downfall of the province's economy. 

The Premier also said that the $20 billion deficit projected for Alberta is the worst the province will have recorded in its history by a "country mile."
