Are you always on the hunt for the cutest cafes in the city? Luckily, there's an Edmonton coffee shop hidden inside one of its most beloved garden centres. Zocalo Edmonton is the place to go if you're in the mood to sip some tea whilst surrounded by flowers.

The garden centre is located in the city's Little Italy neighbourhood. There are honestly so many Italian markets and restaurants on the same block that you'll ask yourself whether you've been transported to Rome.

The establishment itself is super multifunctional. There's a garden centre, a flower shop, an espresso bar, a vase and home decor section, and more.

Whether you're browsing to take home a plant baby or you're looking to sneak off to a soothing setting to study or read, this spot will draw you in.

The name of the shop is derived from the Spanish word "zócalo." According to the centre, zócalo refers to a public square in Mexico that's bustling with activity. It's a place that's decked out in trees, plants, and park benches.

That's exactly the sort of vibe that they want to recreate in Edmonton, too.

There's a long communal table set in the heart of it all where you can socialize with others while being physically distanced and safe.

Classic beverages like americanos, macchiatos, lattes, organic teas, and more are available at the cafe.

If you're craving something sweet to pair up with your drink, you can opt for muffins, cookies, macarons or their epic "peanut butter cups."

Soups, salads and paninis are also offered at the cafe. Their signature "espresso milkshake" is also worth a try if you want to cool off after a sunny day at the greenhouse

Outside of the cafe, the spot sells so many things that you're bound to come back home with a flower bouquet or a funky plant.

They also offer a number of vegetables and herbs, so you might as well get some of your grocery shopping done while you're in the area.

The really cute vases, pots and home decor items for sale are straight out of Pinterest. It's really a paradise for a plant-lover.

So if you're ready to spend a dreamy, relaxing day at a flower shop cafe, you need to put Zocalo on your to-do list right away.

It's a beautiful fall activity that doesn't require you to be outside but keeps you close to greenery nonetheless.
