Page posted a sneak peek of his conversation with Winfrey, which will be his first televised interview since publicly coming out as transgender. Winfrey teased the interview with some clips on her Instagram account.

In one of the clips, Winfrey asked Page if he has allowed himself the "fullness" of being able to explore what his vision of himself will look like. He smiled and took a pause before answering.

"I think like anything in life, things are always changing, which is one of the most beautiful things of being alive — one of the scariest and most beautiful," said Page. "From where I'm sitting now, all I know is the degree of comfort, sense of home, ability to be present, feels so profound and life-changing. And so what I look forward to is getting to move through the world in that way."

In December 2020, Page announced to the world in a letter that he is trans, his pronouns are he/they, and that his name is Elliot. He also wrote to all trans people who deal with "harassment, self-loathing, abuse and violence every day: I see you, I love you, and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better."
