Canada's Set To Suffer Through An Extra Cold & Snowy Winter This Year (VIDEO)

The winter forecast does not look good.

It looks like 2020 has yet another nasty surprise ahead for Canadians. Canada's winter weather forecast is out, and conditions are going to get pretty brutal in some regions. With more rain, more snow and even colder temperatures expected, you should consider digging out your snuggliest jumper ASAP.

Just when we thought we couldn’t take too much more disappointment this year, the Canadian Farmers' Almanac has released their weather predictions for the winter ahead.

While some provinces will be spared the standard damp, slushy and bitter Canadian winter, others are expected to experience even worse conditions than usual.

For residents of western Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and eastern B.C., the forecast is predicting conditions that are “much colder than normal winter temperatures.”

In B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan, this will be combined with even more snow than usual. The same is expected in western Quebec and Ontario, too.

Things will go from bad to worse in the Pacific Province, as incoming storms are also likely to bring even more rain.

If you were hoping there might be some improvement by the start of 2021, think again.

The forecast is “red-flagging” early January in Ontario and Quebec as extra-heavy snowfall is expected, and February will bring blizzard-like conditions to the Maritimes. Yikes!

That said, it’s not all doom and gloom. Residents of Canada’s eastern provinces will be able to enjoy an “unseasonably mild” winter this year.

Those in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, P.E.I., and New Brunswick can enjoy a break from the usual bitterness, while their western counterparts struggle with arctic temperatures.

The contrast is expected to be so stark, the Farmers' Almanac is dubbing the season "winter of the great divide."

Despite the miserable forecast, Canada is no stranger to wicked winters and terrible temperatures.

In 2019, we experienced some of the coldest temperatures on Earth on multiple occasions, with conditions reaching -44 C in some places.

At one stage, 11 of the top 15 chilliest places on the planet were all in Canada!

With unusual levels of frost and snow ahead, we can only hope for a fabulous ski season.

Pull out your gloves and your booties, Canada. It looks like you're going to need them!
